We cannot do this alone. We need better awareness, education, and access.⁣ And it's one thing for me to foster this with every individual who crosses my path. It's another when the folks holding the needles/scalpels are on the same mission.⁣

Chronic pain affects everything I do and every part of my life.⁣ It affects every moment, decision, plan and dream.⁣ It affects my present and future and who I could maybe share that with.⁣ It affects what I do and how I prioritize my days.⁣

CRPS patients are not difficult. We live with a complex, poorly understood, hard to treat disease that is largely invisible compared to how excruciating it is, especially after the earlier disease stage has passed and you're in the chronic stages.

Pain management has a depressing connotation. But it doesn’t have to be. In fact if you understand how to manage pain, it immediately can be less so. In fact I’d argue that to manage pain, you have to first understand how the heck it actually works.
