MARSMethod Mentorship
Why is health and fitness the norm for comparatively healthy people, yet taboo or a luxury for people who’s quality of life depends on it most? Health doesn’t just come from eradicating illness, but also increasing increasing wellness.
Are you a complex pain patient who wants to gain back control of their life and decrease widespread pain? You’re in the right place.
“Wellness is illness but with a ‘we’ instead of an ‘i’…
because WE can do this.”
The MARSMethod Mentorship
This is a completely individualized program. If you’re a complex pain patient who wants 1:1 support to work on more than just movement, the Mentorship is where we create a comprehensive plan to implement together. The Mentorship is NOT like a traditional pain program. We identify the realities of your routine, resources, and other barriers we must consider in creating a sustainable step-by-step approach to improve lifestyle and movement factors that decrease pain. We progress and implement those conservative pain management strategies week to week in your own environment amidst your normal everyday challenges/triggers, allowing you to better understand your pain, what’s happening in your body, and how to impact it.
This program is for complex pain patients who:
Have complex pain pathologies like hEDS, CRPS, Fibromyalgia, neurological conditions like brain injury, MS, stroke etc.
May have multiple pain drivers going on at once/different types of pain present (body part pain, nerve pain, or nociplastic pain/sensitization)
Have symptoms of central sensitization or nervous system dysfunction including:
Sensory sensitivity, sleep disturbance, extreme fatigue, cognitive impairment, mood disturbance, dysautonomias (IBS, POTS etc), motor dysfunction (inhibition, myoclonic jerks, dystonia)
Feel overwhelmed by managing their care and addressing all the different variables and need a structured plan and accountability
Have exhausted medications/procedures, or need to lower sensitization levels before doing additional treatments
You may have goals like:
Improve energy and focus
Make nutrition more simple and efficient
Fall asleep easier and wake up more refreshed
Be able to do more day-to-day
Improve mood and manage stress/anxiety better
Becoming more active/less sedentary, and build stability and strength
Improve metabolic diseases and additional health issues that are further amplifying pain
Become less reliant on medications so you can decrease side effects
The MARSMethod Mentorship includes:
60 min Initial Intake Assessment
Twelve 50 minute video calls (incl. recordings with lifetime access)
CoachRx app client portal, check-ins, messaging, and feedback on ongoing movement and lifestyle prescriptions
Unlimited communication with Justine between sessions
MARSMethod resources and education
Please complete all sessions within 4 months. Of course things come up, and we can space appts out appropriately, but consistency is KEY!
What Do You Impact As a Patient? Learn the MARSMethod:
Movement
Individualized movement strategies tailored to your unique brain and tolerances including desensitization, release techniques, proprioceptive, visual, and vestibular sensory strategies, stability, strength and aerobic programming strategies, all through a nervous system system lens so you can desensitize the impaired extremity and do more.
Awareness
Increase your intention in all areas of your life so you can begin to identify how your current habits actually affect pain, and positively impact symptoms with mindfulness and diaphragmatic breathing. Once you improve your understanding of what affects your symptoms, anxiety, depression etc. and can see the patterns that tie into your pain, you can affect them.
Recovery
Unfortunately without predictable, dependable recovery, you don’t give yourself a chance with this disease. A lot of our daytime behaviors affect energy management and sleep. Improving circadian rhythm, sleep/wake cycle, nap hygiene, meal quality, timing, and sourcing and pacing strategies are critical to better manage persistent insomnia and fatigue.
Stress
Pain is inextricably tied to our sympathetic drive. That’s why learning how to better manage stress and impact your nervous system by improving your daily routine, boundaries, and down-regulating strategies so you are less helpless and more in control of your life, increasing your bodies sense of safety and capacity so you can sustainably layer more in.
THE RWC PROMISE: You will master the MARSMethod and learn👇
Different Types of Pain and Linking Complicating Factors: How do the different types of pain present, why does it get so bad, and what can you do about it given the causes and co-existing factors/pathologies? We’ll define the different types of pain, give simple metaphors to understand it, discuss how pain from neurological disease vs injuries differs, how you can go from acute injury to healed to chronic to sensitized - and from chronic illness to sensitization, as well as what predisposes you to sensitization developing. What should your priorities and focus be, and what strategies can you integrate, as opposed to what do you need additional help/to outsource.
Sensory Sensitization and Widespread Pain: Do you feel like your CRPS or sensitive areas are ‘spreading’? Have you been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and then basically told good luck with no solutions? This happens as our nervous system amplifies pain further. To decrease this, you have to learn how to downregulate, distract and desensitize to re-wire your brain in appropriate ways, so you can change the way your nervous system is assessing threat. Whether that’s showing up with touch in general through allodynia, or more specific sensory sensitizations like temperature through things like Reynaud’s, noise/sound with tinnitus, etc. there are ways to impact widespread pain and the various sensory sensitizations with the 3D’s: downregulate, de-stim, and distract so you can improve your tolerance to various stimuli and decrease how trigger happy your nervous system has become.
Sleep Disturbance: We deal with the physical and mental challenges around sleep, identifying and improving the daytime behaviors and environmental factors that are making it much harder to fall asleep at night and feel recovered when you wake up. You will learn how to integrate sleep hygiene and circadian rhythm strategies to fall asleep easier, anchor your sleep cycle better, and need to nap less so you can fall asleep easier, get better sleep quality, and have less dips during the day with more predictable energy and capacity.
Fatigue and Cognitive Impairment: We all know we need to eat better, but how to get healthier food more consistently isn’t easy with challenges like gastroparesis, nausea, lack of appetite, food aversions, intolerances, or allergies, and pain limiting standing time/kitchen credits. The problem is, food is energy. This may sound obvious, but it’s not when you’re in survival mode. Lacking protein, being severely undernourished, having poor meal quality and timing, too many carbs and poor macronutrient ratios, or significant micronutrient deficiencies massively exacerbate fatigue, negatively affect cognitive function, and amplify widespread pain. You’ll learn strategies to make sourcing easier and improve systems around prep with limited energy or standing capacity, so you can improve nutrition while taking special considerations into account.
Energy Management: The daytime side of recovery. Pacing takes planning, and routine is the antidote to stress. As soon as you recognize how to create more balance, your recovery will improve. You’ll learn various strategies to be able to stay more organized mentally to combat brain fog, progress physical or cognitive activities, and better set goals so you can increase stamina over time. You’ll learn how to organize yourself better within each week to better manage allostatic load, progress activities properly, schedule yourself more sustainably, and know when to ‘push’ and when to ‘listen to your body’. As I semi-joke, “it’s not about doing less, it’s about being less stupid”. How you organize yourself matters. As you gain capacity with increased recovery and lower stress, you earn more and more freedom.
Sympathetic Nervous System Regulation and Mood: How can you better manage your nervous system and down-regulate on demand so you can lower your sympathetic, get stress out of our bodies better, separate from stressful thoughts easier, and decrease anxiety as a global sensitizer? If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, grief/depression etc with chronic pain - news flash - this makes you normal. However, your perspective and how you are able to choose your reaction to these challenges matters greatly. Stress, like anxiety, fuels the sympathetic state. Avoiding stress, isn’t realistic though. Instead, we must understand how it impacts us and learn tools to better manage it with breathing and mindfulness. This is a safe space to talk about the challenges it creates and practice interventions that mitigate it’s impact on us in connection with others experiencing the same challenges.
Autonomic Nervous System/Dysautonomia: With hypermobility and central sensitization, various forms of dysautonomia or autonomic nervous system dysfunction often develop. Symptoms of orthostatic intolerance, POTS, GIT issues, bladder problems etc. can wreak havoc on us and both drive and amplify pain, and the various symptom buckets require different interventions depending on what autonomic systems are impacted.
Motor Inhibition: We introduce the concept of neuromuscular inhibition and teach you how to mitigate the sensory issues that drive them and develop from them. You’ll leave with strategies that improve brain mapping, joint differentiation, and the weakness/spasm cycle not being able to activate certain areas results in. This is how we form new movement patterns and over time allows you to overcome intense pain, neuropathy, and the resulting compensations that develop from low or no exercise, leading to more and more pain.
Sustainable Movement: Different forms of movement are like different languages to our nervous system. Learning how to use movement sustainably without creating more pain is one of the most powerful tool against chronic pain, but one of the most challenging without the appropriate strategies. How do you approach things earlier in the disease course and with better fitness levels/training age vs more progressed disease states and a more de-conditioned situation? You’ll learn how to plan and execute movement more sustainably with less flares so you can exercise more consistently with less blowback.
I’ve worked intimately with over 100 complex pain patients just like you who have gone through this curriculum and made significant improvements that forever changed with how they look at and manage chronic conditions. You will not leave this program the way you came in. Book a Discovery Call to learn more.

Clinics that take advantage of patients desperation, tout unproven therapies, and lack truly individualized care will charge $12, $20, 50K+ capitalizing on our desperation. I’ve been where you are and and understand wanting an easier way to just make pain go away with, as well as how stressful finances can be. Having to spend our precious expendable income on healthcare is never what one wants, and medical trauma creates an understandable lack of trust and valid fear over another person overselling and underdelivering.
My goal is to help you decrease pain and rely on the medical system less, so you can significantly decrease the overall cost of care going forward. My clients find what they get out of my programs is beyond worth it. I know despite keeping costs as low as possible for the quality/care provided, the mentorship can still be too much. This is I why I also offer lower cost group and 1:1 options, as well as many free resources.
I know how scary it can feel to take a chance and have to put in the work, but betting on yourself is the best bet you can make because you have to learn how to manage your own body. How many other kinds of therapies have you spent money on or will continue to if you keep going like this? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. Let’s change that, together.
